Janet Marsden is a Ph.D student in Information Science and Technology at the School of Information Studies in Syracuse University. She graduated from the SU iSchool in 1998 with an MS in Telecom and Network Management. She also has an MBA and an MPS in Urban and Regional Planning. For the last 5 years, she's been an assistant professor at SUNY Canton in the IT department within the Canino School of Engineering. Her research interests include Geospatial information literacy, STEM education, Online and distance learning, Planning and decision support systems for urban and regional planning, and Modeling, simulations and games for education.
