President Obama to Visit American University
On Thursday, July 1st at 10:45 am, President Barack Obama will deliver an address in the atrium of the new School of International Service building at American University. The speech will surround the issue of comprehensive immigration reform. This event highlights the University’s commitment to public service and international understanding.
Although the event is by White House invitation only, it can be viewed on NBC, CNN, and live at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live. There will also be a Twitter stream at @AmericanU and #ObamaAtAU. Following the speech a video will be made available on the AU website.
The University has informed community members that security will be heavy and that there will be incidences of activity disruptions up until the conclusion of the speech around Noon.
